Default Roth IRA's for minors

Anyone know who has the lowest minimum and fees? My 12 year old will have about $100 of earned income this year from soccer. When we set my oldest up I had a heck of time finding one with a $250 minimum but I don't know about $100. I would like to find an index fund that can just sit and be added to every year.

P.S. A child can put up to $4000 of earned income away in a Roth. You can let them keep the money they earn for their own needs and put the money in yourself. We match up to $500 of earned income but since this is first year working we can only put in $100 or whatever it adds up to be.

Default Re: Roth IRA's for minors

This sounds like a Dave Ramsey question... I would call him on talk radio, he is amazing. Or log onto his website, he lists several "Dave approved" financial advisors.

We start our kids with the initial investment for their 16th birthday for the Roth IRA, then grandma and grampa put in $50 each month until they are 21. We haven't started them younger than 16, sorry. When they get jobs they also contribute by having a set amount debited from their checking account each month.
