Crime in the neighborhood....

Marianna, how awful!!!

That really stinks, Kari, especially when you think of a gated community as more... protected? from the stupid than other communities. Around here, things just get progressively worse. People breaking into cars in the back alley that runs between our street and another. A young girl about 19yo committed arson 5 times (3 of which were in our alley - trash cans, and one could have easily caught the house on fire, as the deck pole had started to flame up) - this because the fire department denied her a position as a volunteer (because she was unstable - I think she proved them right!). Another person shooting a gun in the air because alley neighbors were verbally provoking him (other side of the street, so different alley). And now the most recent was a guy a few streets over (36ish) whose mother called the police because he was going to commit suicide and had dumped lighter fluid all over the house. Turns out he never did the fluid (just said he did) and when a young officer was entering the house, the guy comes at him and starts stabbing him!!!! Thankfully, the officer had a shield, which protected him. But geez!!! Can I tell you how I absolutely cannot wait until we move???

All of these posts are scary! Be careful everyone! We all just need to be aware and careful.

Mr. Moof is convinced we have a crack house on our street. They always have weird cars that only stay for a few minutes, never go outside and they have sheets up for curtains.
