I am just real glad that I know for a fact that DS was not involved in this one. When he was telling me the story I was starting to worry lol.

DS goes to a school that is a Technical school but houses a high school also. The high school part meets graduation requirements, but other than that he is in his program. So he is in the computer technology program. Most of the assignments he does in his computer class he emails to turn in. Well seems as though two groups of students (one group had three students and the other one he is not sure how many) got toghether and decided that student 1 would do assignment A and email it to the others student 2 would do the same thing with assignment B and student 3 would do the same thing with assignment C. Ok they did this in the word program that they do these assignments in emailed it around each student made thier edits and emailed it to the teacher to turn it in. Well now the teacher being smarter than given credit for realized that he had alot of assignments being turned in within minutes of each other and that I guess is not normal. So he got to digging and went into the program for one of the assignments. Where none of the students involved was smart enough to get rid of the author information or the email info and edits that were imbedded into the software. Can we say busted by the same equipment you were using to cheat?????? So the teacher had all the info and brought it up to the kids in class and informed them that they would still get thier grades. He is taking the grade (say it is a 100%) and dividing it between the students involved (so in the case of three students each gets a 33% for the assignment). Yeah they thought they were smart, but I wonder what their grades look like.

ROFL - talk about a lesson in editing, if not honesty!

Gee...it seemed like such a good idea at the time, lol.

I'm glad your son wasn't involved. I like the way the teacher handled it.
