I will be an aunt today!!!!

My SIL's water broke yesterday morning. She went to the hospital and they started pitocin (sp?) yesterday afternoon. She was fully dialated at 7:00 cst so 2 1/2 hours ago. The poor girl has been pushing that entire time :eek: :( So it is a waiting game, but Erik should be born today.

I'm so excited I am flying down on the 31st to go see him for a few days :D

I'll post pics as soon as I get them :D

I became an aunt for the first time last June, i was at the beach 5 hours away :( We came home and DH took me straight to see my Niece. I don't think I'd love her more if she was mine.

Thanks you guys! He got here at 11:34 a.m. he weighs 7 lbs 2 oz (th same as my DD ;) ) and is 20 1/2 inches long. He has jet black hair (funny because my brothers hair is almost white and my SIL has blond hair too :) ) Nobody has sent pictures yet, but they have all been up all night so I figure I will get them in due time :)

Oh, congratulations again on the new arrival. Very exciting.

My DD7 was born with brown hair and after she lost that she got the blond (almost white) hair. It is very possible that once he looses the dark hair he will grow a lighter color.

That's what I figure too...our cousin's baby was born with black hair, then it turned blonde. They were just figuring that they would have a bald baby since they are both so light skinned.

My lil one was born with a full head of jet black hair and it ALL fell out! Every time I would pick her up out of her carseat, it was covered in hair. Grew in blond and CURLY.... it's darkened a bit and is now as straight as straight gets.
