I am always afraid I will lose them. Don't ask me why, but I panic about it. I have never lost a set before, DD lost a set of mine when she was a baby and I am sure they went in the trash (she was in that throw things away phase). But I have never lost any. So since I can be standing in the store or wherever and have a panic fit, DH bought me a lanyard for them. Problem is, I feel stupid wearing a lanyard. Oh well, either panic or feel stupid (oh I never feel stupid when I panic lol). Anyone else in this boat with me?

Are you my long, lost twin sister that I've never met?

I have this phobia too, although it never caused me a panic attack.

Growing up, my psychotic mother regularly lost her keys and went crazy on us kids, so I attribute it to this.

I have a very attractive sturdy silver clip on my keyring, and as soon as I get out of the car they are clipped to either my belt loop or a dedicated hook on my purse. I am really methodical with this. I also never lock my car or house without my keys in my hand, that way I'll never lock them inside and me outside.

I don't, but my DH is always afraid that I will lose my keys! Whenever we go somewhere and I drive - he takes his "just in case". I have never lost them, nor have I locked my keys in the car, but he feels the day is coming.

get one of those rock climbing clips (i can't remember the name of them) i know that coppertone suncsreen sprot has the same type of clip for their key sunscreens. i always just keep the clip after the sunscreen is gone and use it for my keys. i clip the keys onto my beltloop and go!

I'm not paranoid about losing them but I am paranoid about locking them in the car. I don't shut my car door unless the keys are in my hand. I will not drop them into my purse until I have shut the door. I've never locked my keys up, (knock on wood lol) so I'm not sure where this paranoia came from.

Glad I am not the only one that worries about the keys, it is making me feel a little better.
