Jewerly Haul

Alrighty now! One of my SIL came for a visit today (she flew in from Brasil). My husband hasn't seen her in 16 years and she could only stay the day, then off to California (they are actually at the airport now). She will likely come and stay a few days in Nov on her return trip.

Anyway...I like her. Most of my husbands family is a bit...well, weird? I think Valeria might be the only normal one. So...I get home from work and they are already here and the kids are ripping open like a whole suitcase of gifts she brought them. Then she brings me like 4 bags for me to open...oh my.

This particular SIL owns like a chain (4) of GemStone Stores, high end jewerly and handbag/shoes accessories in Brasilia. SHE BROUGHT ME JEWERLY!! I don't mean like 1 thing...I mean BAGS AND BAGS OF THE STUFF! I've got like 5 Neckalaces, 7 bracelets and a whole bag of stones not even put into anything at all!!

I've got Onyx and Amethyst..Topaz, Peridot, Aquamarine (my birthstone), Garnets, Opals, Quartz, Turquoise and some small Diamonds!! YIPPEE....some of these are really nice.

I handed this one bracelet to my daughter to put on and she freaked. I think they are worth more than I realize. Ohmy...christmas is here early !

I like those kinds of guests. She can come visit me if she brings me jewelry. I live in Houston, so not too far away! LOL :D

Seriously, I am happy to hear you had a good visit with her. It is nice to have a normal in-law. ;) I know because I have one or two.

Thanks everyone. I wore one of the chains and a bracelet to work today. Had to remove the bracelet as it was to hard with my gloves, but I did get to show it off a bit.

Yea..so far I like this SIL. Of course she doesn't speak a word of english hahah..All my other in laws are crazy as can be.

One thing that was funny though...my SIL name is Valeria. My daughter can't say it...so she kept calling her MALARIA!

Was hilarious...I kept laughing and my DH finally had to tell her why!

(I would tell the story about the Dollar General Haul my kids got for Christmas one year from a certain in-law of mine, but I won't go there.)
