I think that's so sad, I love to watch the price is right on my days off. It's been on my entire life, I can't imagine someone else hosting The Price is Right :( He'll be retiring in June they say :(

We have friends with an autistic son who will only watch "Bob". They even have a DVD player with recorded Price is Right shows that they take with them everywhere! They call it "Porta Bob". When I heard the news, I immediately thought of their son. I guess he'll be watching re-runs from now on. (BTW, when the night-time version was on a little while back with Ricki Lake I think it was, he was not happy. He cannot speak, but kept looking around like, "Where is Bob?")

I heard on CBS radio this morning that his replacement is a CBS news weather guy. I don't remember the name though. Interesting.

Wow, an end of an era! He was old looking even when I was a kid watching him.

He has been hosting the show for 35 years. He stated that he will be 82 in Nov (or Dec, can't remember) and he wants to retire while he is still young!!

While he is still young…that’s great! :)

I really admire him for the work that he does for companion animals and for promoting spaying and neutering.

I was just thinking that. I am sure he will always be active in animal welfare since it is such a passion of his.

I can't imagine anyone filling his shoes either.
