...can you find packages of 48 escargots (snails) in the frozen foods section of the grocery store next to the frozen pizzas! :)
Anyone else a fan of escargots?

I don't think I have ever tried escargot. Maybe I would like it, but maybe not. I would be willing to try it at least twice though (once to see if I like it and then a second time to verify if I like it or not).
That is funny about the food choices you find there. I bet they might find it funny about some of the food choices in our grocery store here.

I LOVE escargot! I grew up eating it.

I've tried it, didn't like it. One of the 3 things I don't like the flavor of.;)
I think I probably would like it. I love the Bizarre Food show and I am always saying to DH that I think I could eat that! I have a real issue with texture in food more than flavor.

No thanks....tried it once on accident before being told what it was, totally did not like it. And will never try it again, once is all I need!!!

I like them! I tried them for the first time when I was in France about 4 years ago. Then on our honeymoon there was a FABULOUS French restaurant on our resort. I don't think I would like them if I cooked them though, I'm afraid they would get chewy. But from a high end restaurant-delicious!

I don't really know if it's the escargot itself that I like...when it comes coated with garlic and salt and dripping with butter, though, what's not to like? :)

That's the only way I've had it, and I love garlic! You're right, I'm not sure about plain escargot either...

I tried it the night of my senior prom and I was surprised that I liked it! It was definitely more the butter, garlic, salt they were soaking in than the actual escargot, lol!

I have also tried it one night at a business dinner. It was awesome!! I had it prepared the same way, salted butter and garlic.

I don't know if they still serve them. But at The Keg restaurant they have escargot that's served in mushroom caps. Yum! Not sure if this is a national restaurant or just in the DFW area.

Love them! Yum! The very first time I had them was, of course, with lots of garlic, butter, herbs~ and some type of pastry dough! Oh DIVINE!!
