I made the mistake of going to bed the other night without pumping and woke up at 3am with milk all over me. I normally breast feed him, but we had gone to a movie and my dad took care of him so he just had a bottle. I was pretty full to begin with and figured I could make it till morning... NOT! This all happend Saturday night and I am still a little sore from it today, I will never make that mistake again.

Sorry to hear that. But I do think you are wise for going out and letting someone else give him a bottle sometimes!

Been there, done that! Pumping is such a pain in the booty I'd try to avoid it if I thought it was possible, but sometimes it came back to bite me.

Hey You! Been wondering how you've been. I remember going too long before & suddenly exploding while standing in line at a store. Had to leave the line & go to the car because I was SOAKED. I'd left my baby home w/ daddy while I Christmas shopped all day.

Ohh I'm sorry that happened but I'm glad to know it can. I've gone an entire night once (10-7) but won't be again after reading this! Tonight would be my 2nd chance to do so since my mom will be here.

I have been in a store too and noticed I had a big wet spot on the front of my shirt. I typically wore pads, but when you are really full, those pads can't always help. It was very embarressing, but hopefully everyone just thought I spilled something on my shirt.

I walked into the Sheriff's Dept to claim one of my stolen items w/ a big 'ol wet spot on my shirt!! I kept trying to move my arm and hike the baby higher so the 2 MALE deputies wouldn't notice. I was so embarassed.

Yeah don't do that. I don't want you to get a blocked duct. Plus, it just means more in the frig so you can go out again!!

That happened to me a couple of times when the kids unexpectedly slept much longer than usual. OUCH!

Good to *see* you again!

ouch!! I remember those days. I remember being at Target once and a baby in the next aisle started crying. I immediately felt the milk coming andgrabbed my boobs for dear life. Fortunately no one saw me, or else they pretended not to!!

My boobs don't leak when she cries. Is it maybe because I don't breastfeed? I only pump/give bottles. I'm grateful for the not-leaking!

I remember once when Morgan was little weeks old still. We feel asleep in the recliner and slept all night. I woke up and I couldn't move my arms any where near my chest. OMG..they hurt so bad. I don't know how she ate that morning since I was so full, but I remember the pain!

My breasts did not leak all that much either maybe once or twice when she cried.

sometimes you can pump JUST a little and it will help.

I used to let down when DD cried. I was also working in the newborn nursery then. So anytime a baby cried-- if I was full at all, I'd start leaking all over my uniform. Sometimes I'd just wish I could grab the crier and put him/her on the boob-- a la wet nurse:D . Especially the hungry ones who weren't getting enough 'cos moms milk hadn't come in yet. Oh course this was 30 years ago--before HIV was a concern (I never did, of course).

I remember one time my then DH and I were gone all day to his HS reunion and DMIL watched the kids all day/evening. Can you say "torpedos"? The girls were like manned nuclear warheads!

I had that happen sometimes, too. Yuck. I always had to sleep in a nursing bra with pads, and it still would happen sometimes. I was SO glad when I stopped pumping. I never go braless in the day, but I absolutely hated sleeping in one.

Yay for you for having a night out!!

OMG that used to happen to me too. I'd be out in the store, or even at work (I worked in an airport) and would hear a baby crying in the gate area and I would start the letdown. So embarrassing!!!

Ahhh the things we all have in common as mothers. :)

I can't wait to not sleep in bras! Usually when I get home from work, I take off my bra if I'm not going anywhere. I haven't been braless except for the shower in 8 weeks!

I do have to say I have a SUPER comfy sportsbra that I wear when I'm at home. I don't think it really constitues as a sportsbra, if I wore it to the gym I'd get black eyes :)
