We usually stick around here, make a bunch of appetizer type thing for snacking all evening, and play games with the kids. This year we have friends of ours coming with their kids as well.
I'm doing my Buffalo Chicken Dip, Jen's bringing the Smokies & Sauce... but I'm not sure what else I want.
So - what are you all having? Maybe I'll snatch one of your ideas :).

He'll be listening to it on the online stream. He's working day shift tomorrow so we can be off for the evening.

We have friends coming over. I'm making Mexican corn dip, Spinach dip, roast beef and meatball sandwiches, creme de menthe squares, cream puffs and caramel apple salad.
I really wanted to make another munchie/finger food, but couldn't come up with anything that I wanted (that wasn't going to cost a lot; trying to keep the expense down.) I think our friends are bringing pigs in a blanket and maybe some other foods.

its a yummy adult Slushy :p
Red Rooster
Ingredients
1 1/2 quarts cranberry juice cocktail
1 6-oz can frozen orange juice concentrate, defrosted
2 cups vodka
Directions
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a large plastic container. Freeze for several hours. It will not freeze solid but will achieve the consistency of a slushy.

I might have to make that for the party we are going to tomorrow. I'm making Kari's famous chicken cheese ball. She was right once you take that to a party people tend to say bring the chicken ball again lol.

We're having homemade pizza. Boring, but it's what DH wants!
I haven't the slightest idea. It's midnight, and I"m just now thinking about it. I just found out tonight that DH will be off after all, so that changes everything! Normally it's just me & the kids, so I just do whatever. Now I gotta see what DH wants to do.
I'm thinking about:
Chicken Cheese Ball
Ricotta Stuffed Mushrooms
Southwest Corn Dip
and I'm thinking about asking DH to make Blackened Chicken Pasta for dinner.
We always do the same thing, shrimp scampi. We also do rice and I will probably throw in a veggie for me. Although we haven't told my inlaws thats whats for dinner yet... hope they like garlic! We use lots :)

Having two friends over for dinner here. I'm making baked brie (it's actually camembert cheese because I couldn't find round brie in the store ), baked ziti, salad, and having plenty of French champagne on hand. Friend #1 is bringing another starter and friend #2 is bringing dessert.

My kids wanted a nice dinner along with games and a movie for New Year's Eve. We're having chips & dip to start. For dinner, I'm making a salad, steak, Parmesan orzo, haricots verts, and bread. We're having brownie sundaes for dessert and I picked up a couple of bottles of sparkling grape juice.

Make a baked brie! If you google "baked brie" you get tons of variations of the recipe.

I made those Bacon Tomatoe Tartlets that Katieboosmama posted in another thread for Christmas, and they were really good. I think I am going to make those again, along with a hot crab dip. We are going to my SIL's house so I really only need to bring 1 or 2 things.
