Hello ladies!! :D

So....it's been awhile since I've been around. Well...not entirely true...I've quickly logged in and tried to keep up with things, but it's just been so busy lately!! How on earth does that happen! lol

Trying naturally to get swimmer to meet egg hasn't worked well for us and we've been on the wait list to get in to the fertility clinic for a few months now. I think the last time I updated everyone, they had just found the cyst on my left ovary and we had to wait to see what happened with it. They were recommending taking the cyst and the ovary out if there was no change. My husband and I decided at that point that if they wanted to take the cyst and ovary and wouldn't wait till February to do it, we would get my other tube tied during the same surgery and just be done with it. We figured that apparently, we weren't supposed to have kids...and we started tentatively making Plan B so to speak.

Well!! Went for the follow up ultrasound and found out that the cyst is shrinking and is almost down to nothing all on it's own. And then later that day we got an appointment with the fertility clinic! Woohoo!! Here we go! Back on track!

Our first appointment at the clinic was November 12th (the day after our 2nd year anniversary). We have a very nice doctor and he was able to get the remaining test done (the hysterosalpingogram) done on the 13th so that when I ovulated on the 18th we were able to do our first round of IUI!

OMG! I could be pregnant as we type/read!! The hard part is now! Waiting and waiting and waiting!
The clinic won't do a pregnancy test until December 4th. Really though? I'll know before that. AF is due to come on December 1st. So if she doesn't come by then, I'll do the pee on a stick test and know. Good lord though....is it December 1st yet?

Is it now?
How about now?

Waiting is the WORST part of it. I hope it works for you and if not this month... then next. :)

Having just gone through this, I figured I would tell you my experience.

My obgyn found 2 cysts in what appeared to be in my fallopian tubes. He said he was just going to remove my tubes. I said no and found another doctor. She is great and ordered a HSG test. The worst part for me was, they put the spec. in and then cath you. Well, it hurt! And they insert the dye, and my doctor realized she didn't put enough dye in, and had to re-do it. And the balloon hurts too! But my tubes came out clear. I was so happy, I cried. Then my doctor ordered me to take 10 days of Provera to start my period, then 5 days later AF comes, the on CD 5-9 I took 100mg of Clomid every day. I went in on CD13 for a mid-cycle scan. I had a few little follicles on my left side and a 24 MM follicle on my right. She told me to go get a Ovidrel (not sure if i spelled that right) which is a HCG Trigger shot, and the nurse gave it to me in my stomach. Sent me home, and told me to do Timed intercourse over the weekend. So I did. Then 2 days later I was told to do Progesterone Vag. Suppositories for the 2 week wait. And test on Halloween. I got a BFN. And we as a couple decided to wait until after the holidays and slow season of work to retry. Hopefully, a round of IUI and I'll have what I have been working so hard to get.

I wish you lots of luck! Baby Dust!!!

Wow Cathleen! Thank you for sharing your story with me. I agree, the spec. and catheter do hurt the most. The dye part was just like a monthly cramp...but when they "grab" the cervix so to speak and catheter it? ouch! My sister in law has had the dye test and 4 IUI's so far and she found the dye test very very painful, but not the IUI. *shrugs* It really is different for everyone I guess. I'm glad that I had my husband with me for the IUI cause I wasn't expecting it to hurt at all, but the catheter part hurt more with the IUI than it did with the dye test for me. So at least I had his hand to squeeze the heck out of! lol!
Everyone else, thank you so much for the well wishes and the baby dust! I'm so excited and can hardly wait!
So I have 10 days to wait now...ugh!! I think I'm going to decorate the house for christmas today...that will take my mind off of everything!

And AF showed up...a day early even. Ugh! Oh well! I'm filling my prescription today for Clomid and we'll try again! Maybe we'll find out for Christmas! If not, we have one more try after this month and then it's on to Plan B!

Thanks for all the support and baby dust! I'll keep you all in the loop!
