Mold in the headliner

My husband's windsheild is leaking, and I think he has mold starting to grow in the headliner.....you know, the lining of the car ceiling. It's damp and the car is smelling pretty musty.

Any chance of cleaning it, or are we stuck ripping it out?

You may have to rip it out.

We bought a van at a repo auction. Smelled like the previous owner let farm animals roam through it. We ripped the carpet out and bought replacement carpet for a couple hundred bucks.
