I've been nominated for teacher of the year at my school. Great honor. Well I need to write a one page highlighted summary that will allow others, that will be voting, to get a true sense of who you are and what you’ve accomplished that has led to this nomination. I am drawing a complete blank on how to start this summary. Everything I write sounds so cheesy.

Can anyone give me a suggestion?

I posted a suggestion in the other area that you posted this in.

Maybe you could start with something like: when I made the decision I was going to be a teacher to help kids and went to "wherever" to earn my degree, I never thought that I would be standing in front of you nominated for this award. Or something like that.

Getting started on writing something like that is the hardest part; but once you get started; I'm sure it will all come together.

Thanks, I'm still working on the beginning part. Everything I write just sounds so cheesy.

UPDATE: I finished it. Good or Bad it is done.

You could always post it here and we could help you beef it up. I am sure you are underselling yourself. Human nature is to do that...:D
